We've made it through Christmas and we're fast approaching New Years Eve and 2018.

If you are wanting to compete in the Toyota Cup starting on January the 7th, we suggest you sign up now to make sure you have a place on the grid when the engines fire up on Sunday night.

Seeing as it's the holidays, you might find yourself sitting at home having a nice relaxing time. Perhaps it would be a good time to create your very own custom livery for the Toyota Cup so you can submit it before the cut-off date of the 2nd of January.

Information and Sign up for the Toyota Cup is HERE

Custom Livery submissions can be made HERE

In the mean time, there is plenty of fun to be had in the holidays.

The OZNZ Assetto Corsa servers are currently live. You can get in some early practice for the Toyota Cup, or jump in the Mazda Cup car of the Tatuus FA-01.

The guys are also sinking their teeth into Star Citizen Alpha 3.0. Despite the obvious performance issues of the un-optimized Alpha build and the various bugs, there is lots of fun to be had and OZNZ Space Corp members are thoroughly enjoying themselves playing the game.

The 2017 Racing Season at OZNZ is nearly at an end.

We have one round of official racing left when we attack Circuit Park Zandvoort in the Ginetta G55 Supercup car for the fourth round of the OZNZ Ginetta Supercup Challenge.

The points table is close throughout the field and there are plenty of positions up for grabs in the two final races of the year!

So what are we getting up to over the break?

Well, the OZNZ AC servers will be setup with some random cars/tracks for people to have a blast in during the holidays.

The practice server will also go live with Track Cycle running the tracks for the Toyota Cup next year.

No doubt OZNZ members will be sitting in Discord just waiting for others to jump in and play some games, whether it be some racing in Assetto Corsa or Project Cars, or people jumping into Star Citizen Alpha 3.0 when it goes live to the PU later this month, or if people are wanting a break from all of the above and just want to jump in and play something random.

The OZNZ iRacing contingent will be continuing on through the break with 2018 Season 1 already in full swing.

But what is coming in 2018?

We return to the Official OZNZ Sunday racing on the 7th of January, with Round 1 of the Toyota Cup. OZNZ members will be rocking around in the Toyota GT86 for three rounds of random grid chaos. With three races per round, only one of which drivers will take away points for. The random grids should make for some interesting racing and only taking points for your single best finish each round should make things extremely competitive on the Championship table.

We are also launching the OZNZ Sim Racing VLN. The VLN is loosely based on the real VLN series run at the Nurburgring Nordshliefe.

In between the regular season racing, we will be attacking the Nordshliefe alternating between the Audi TT RS and the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport. There will be a championship table for all eight rounds of the series, as well as Championship tables for the four rounds in the Audi TT RS, as well as the four rounds in the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport.

If you are wanting to see how the years Sunday racing has been broken down into racing seasons, you can head over to the OZNZ Sim Racing page and check out the calendar to see when we are racing.

As always, we do our best to take lessons from what we have done in the past and take the good and drop the bad. OZNZ has been going for two and a half years and we've been racing in Assetto Corsa for our Sunday racing for the past year and a half.

With this experience under our belts, we're hoping that what we have planned for next year will make 2018 our best year to date!

Thanks everyone for continuing to make this community a brilliantly fun place to be!
