We've made it through the first 4 months of 2018 and there has been a lot going on so far this year!
The Sunday Night Assetto Corsa League racing is going strong. We've completed Four series to date with the Toyota Cup, the Trans-Tasman Challenge, the Formula Abarth Championship and the GT3 Championship, as well as Round 1 of the VLN at the Nordschliefe in the Audi TT RS (VLN).
Over in iRacing, the OZNZ Drivers are pushing on with the Oceanic Endurance Championship, the Oceanic Sprint Championship, the VRS Endurance Championship and more. Despite some set backs beyond their control, the guys are running strong!
OZNZ Gaming/OZNZ Sim Racing welcomed Traxstar Race Wear on board as an Official Supporter and the iRacing Teams are sporting all new Traxstar liveries for their cars.
OZNZ Member Llamafett is ramping up her work on various mod tracks for Assetto Corsa and rFactor 2. Her work so far is absolutely brilliant and it's still early days. You can keep up to date with her work via her Facebook page HERE
Coming up at OZNZ Sim Racing, we continue on with the VLN series. This coming Sunday we head back to the Nordschleife to take on the Green Hell in the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport for Round 2.
In this fixed setup series, the Rear wheel drive Porsche is a lot more of a handful than the Front wheel drive, high down force Audi TT RS.
Those who do well over 7 laps will be those who manage to keep the car on the tarmac and out of trouble.
We have also announced our next Sunday night series that will follow the Mazda Cup Tour of Japan.
We will be taking the 1992 BMW M3 E30 Group A DTM spec car to some infamous American road courses for Four rounds of Touring car madness!
We also snuck in a minor theme update to the website, changing out the simple blue for a more dynamic red theme. We like it, and hope you do as well.
