As much as we love racing at OZNZ Gaming, we accept the fact that we aren't professional racing drivers and that beyond some time in Karting or perhaps speedway, most of our OZNZ Sim Racing members haven't spent time behind the wheel of a real race car.

But as avid and passionate Sim Racers, we are always looking to improve our driving by finding those extra tenths of a second.

Sometimes though, putting in fast, consistent laps means very little without Racecraft.

Even the most experienced Sim Racers are always looking to improve their Racecraft and at OZNZ we firmly believe that having a better understanding of the basics can help even the most seasoned drivers.

And because we want everyone who spends time with OZNZ Gaming to have as much fun as possible when they hit the track, we've gone looking and found some brilliant videos produced by Chain Bear F1, in which he examines and breaks down Corners, Racing lines, Overtaking and Defending, all the while using great visual reference material and language we can all understand.

We highly recommend that everyone, regardless of your skill level, watches this series of videos to gain a better understanding of some of the basics of racing.

And of course, check out the rest of Chain Bear F1's videos on his Youtube channel.

OZNZ 2018 Mazda Cup Tour of Japan Results.

This past Sunday was the final round of the Mazda Cup at Suzuka. After some intense racing, Slayer managed to box out the competition and take the top step of the podium for a well deserved series title.

Second place for the series required a count back as both Carbo and Dravilmir finished out the season with 236 Points.

With the count back, Carbo just edged Dravilmir out for Second place.

Congratulations guys!

OZNZ Seat TCR Challenge.

With the Mazda Cup concluded, we are announcing the next series that will follow on from the DTM American Cup.

We will be taking the Seat TCR Touring Car around Europe to tracks visited by the Seat real life.

The front wheel drive car should provide some close door-to-door racing.

For more information about the Seat TCR Challenge, visit the Sim Racing page

Some Updates.

On the subject of the Sim Racing page, we have made some updates to the website this week that will hopefully make finding event information a much simpler process.

Gone are the News posts disguised as Series Overviews. While this served us well the format was long winded and made finding details a chore.

The new format is designed to make finding the information you need much, much simpler.

Of course, we are always open to feedback, so please contact us via Discord if you have some feedback for us.

Today OZNZ turns 3 years old, and boy what a 3 years it has been!

On the 19th of May 2015 the Project Cars OZNZ Steam group was founded and a small group of Australian and New Zealand Project Cars drivers started hitting the track.

Project Cars OZNZ quickly morphed in OZNZ Sim Racing. Since then we have added the OZNZ Space Corp and OZNZ TV brands, and finally brought them all together under OZNZ Gaming, a place where everyone should feel welcome!

It's 3 years on and we still have a strong contingent racing on Sunday nights, members competing in private and official iRacing series, and even a member creating mod tracks for Assetto Corsa and rFactor2.

We've had members come and go in our 3 years, but we've always been OZNZ.

So Happy Birthday OZNZ, here's to another spectacular year!
