We've made it through the first 4 months of 2018 and there has been a lot going on so far this year!

The Sunday Night Assetto Corsa League racing is going strong. We've completed Four series to date with the Toyota Cup, the Trans-Tasman Challenge, the Formula Abarth Championship and the GT3 Championship, as well as Round 1 of the VLN at the Nordschliefe in the Audi TT RS (VLN).

Over in iRacing, the OZNZ Drivers are pushing on with the Oceanic Endurance Championship, the Oceanic Sprint Championship, the VRS Endurance Championship and more. Despite some set backs beyond their control, the guys are running strong!

OZNZ Gaming/OZNZ Sim Racing welcomed Traxstar Race Wear on board as an Official Supporter and the iRacing Teams are sporting all new Traxstar liveries for their cars.

OZNZ Member Llamafett is ramping up her work on various mod tracks for Assetto Corsa and rFactor 2. Her work so far is absolutely brilliant and it's still early days. You can keep up to date with her work via her Facebook page HERE

Coming up at OZNZ Sim Racing, we continue on with the VLN series. This coming Sunday we head back to the Nordschleife to take on the Green Hell in the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport for Round 2.

In this fixed setup series, the Rear wheel drive Porsche is a lot more of a handful than the Front wheel drive, high down force Audi TT RS.

Those who do well over 7 laps will be those who manage to keep the car on the tarmac and out of trouble.

We have also announced our next Sunday night series that will follow the Mazda Cup Tour of Japan.

We will be taking the 1992 BMW M3 E30 Group A DTM spec car to some infamous American road courses for Four rounds of Touring car madness!

We also snuck in a minor theme update to the website, changing out the simple blue for a more dynamic red theme. We like it, and hope you do as well.

We invite you all to race in OZNZ's first Official rFactor 2 event!

With the progress and developments S-397 (ISI no longer own it) have brought to rFactor 2 in the last year (not to mention the stunning GT3 Pack) we think the time is right to start introducing this Sim to the OZNZ Calandar.

What better way to do so than some rowdy Radical Action!

Everything used in this event is base game content and will take place on Saturday the 5th of May at 6pm AEST and 8pm NZST.

Practice: 1 hour - Silverstone GP

Round 1: Silverstone - National

- 20 minutes Private Qualifying

- 40 lap Race (~ 35 minutes)

Round 2: Silverstone - International

- 20 minutes Private Qualifying

- 40 lap Race (~ 42 minutes)

Race Structure:

- Pits open whole race

- 1 Compulsory pit stop (bind those pit limiters and ignitions :D)

- Formation Lap and Standing Start

- Full Flag Rules

- Real road surface development (marbles and rubbering in race line etc)

- Dynamic weather (may be chance of rain greening the track)

- Safety Car TBC

- No driver swaps allowed

- Full grid of 15+ opponents guaranteed

A full grid of 13 clean, fair (to the rule book) AI racers is guaranteed and humans on top of that. Don't worry though, you'll struggle to notice the AI aren't pro human drivers, you can trust them for clean and intense wheel to wheel action, they will take defensive lines etc too so don't be surprised when they put up that fair fight
